That’s right, McLeod Express is now providing a Lease Purchase Program for drivers that are wanting to become Independent Contractors! This is not the typical Lease Purchase Program offered by most Companies. We chose to administer our own in house program to help drivers enter into the Independent Contractor market without breaking bank with typically high weekly Leasing fees.
Our Program Is Built To Help You Become A Successful Independent Contractor:
- $1.20 per mile paid on all dispatched miles loaded/empty
- Fuel surcharge paid on all loaded miles
- EFS Fuel cards with McLeod Express fuel discount program
- Maintenance and Escrow accounts to fund your maintenance expenses
- 2014 Freightliner Cascadia Tractor
- 10 Speed manual transmissions with 15-liter Detroit engine
- 400K Miles or less on all trucks
- Trucks will have a fresh PM service
- Truck tires will be at a minimum of 50% tread remaining
- Tax and Accountant services available
- Dedicated Driver Manager/NO Forced Dispatch

Requirements:
- Must be 23 years of age or older with a Current Class A CDL
- Minimum 12 months verified tractor trailer experience
- No convictions for DUI or DWI within the past 5 years
- No major preventable accidents within the past 3 years
- Reside in Indiana, Ohio or Pennsylvania

McLeod Express was founded in 1986 by Mark McLeod. Mark began hauling grain for his father’s farming business and moved into commercial hauling shortly afterwards winning contracts with large local companies such as Archer Daniels, Tate & Lyle and GSI. While the original focus was on providing reliable service at reasonable cost to central Illinois customers, Mark soon expanded the company scope of operations throughout the Midwest and eventually across the eastern United States. McLeod launched its Decatur Warehousing operation in 2002 providing food grade storage capabilities. In 2010, McLeod opened its Bulk Division with focus on serving customers dump & hopper equipment needs. McLeod Logistics opened in 2011 arranging transportation services for its customers across the United States including areas outside the normal scope of operations for its trucking fleets.
Today McLeod is a diversified provider of transportation, logistics and warehousing services with 400 plus dedicated employees.
